Send us a tip, an event or a photo. Reader tips are one of the main ways things end up on this site, especially outside the downtown core. There is no form of submission we consider too small if it is genuinely good.
What makes a good tip?
- Something opening, closing or changing that we would not otherwise know about
- An event with a date, a price and a way to check it
- A place you keep going back to, particularly outside the usual few neighbourhoods
- A deal that is actually a deal, not a permanent promotion dressed up as one
The single most useful thing you can include is a link. Their website, their Instagram, the ticket page: anything that lets us verify it. Tips we cannot check do not run.
Sending a photo
Send your own photos only. The permission checkbox on the form is what gives us the licence to publish it, and we credit you unless you ask us not to. Please do not send photos taken by someone else, including ones you found on social. We cannot use them.

What happens next?
We read every submission. We check the details against the venue or organiser, and the ones that hold up get written. That process takes a few days, and most things we run go out on a Thursday. We do not reply to every tip, but we do read every one.
Running an event and want it listed? The same form works. Include the date, the venue and the price, and it goes into the events listing once we have checked it.
